Amazon Essentials- Outdoorsy Edition

Don’t get it twisted, I definitely don’t claim myself to be the completely “one with nature” type. I’m not very educated when it comes to “living off the land” or whatever, and heck, I’ve never even been overnight camping. Despite that, I still love nothing more than sunshine, fresh air, and just taking in the natural beauty of the world. For those needs, Amazon has saved me. Through hikes, kayak adventures, and just being outside, here are my lucky 7 must-haves to keep in your backpack on any trail or lake.

1.) Waterproof shoe covers that are actual life savers if you get caught in the rain without your boots. You can choose which size fits over your shoes best, and they have a gripped, padded bottom to prevent slips!

2.) This backpack is amazing. It’s very lightweight, folds back up into a built-in pouch, has a chest strap, and plenty of storage. Plus, look at all the cool colors you can choose from!

3.) Rain ponchos- these guys speak for themselves. This one comes with a pack of five adult sized, and pretty heavy duty ponchos. Once those dark clouds roll in, you’ll be super happy to have these in your bag… trust me.

4.) Protecting your skin under the hot sun is essential in any outdoor activity. I bring this little sunscreen stick with me to glide over my forehead and shoulders when I feel the sun getting especially strong, and it’s definitely prevented some potentially bad burns.  https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HNSSV3U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_K1QMZZE73XXTZ9Y6FJBP

5.) Bringing a phone with you on your outdoor adventures is not only smart for just pictures, but for protection and safety as well. If you plan to be in or around water, it’s important to keep your phone safe from getting wet. This one comes in a 2-pack and will not only keep your phone from getting wet, but also floats, so you won’t have to worry about your phone sinking into the abyss.

6.) When being outside and getting active, staying hydrated is crucial. If you know you’ll be in the heat for quite some time, cold water is especially quenching. These ice cubes fit right into the opening of a water bottle, and are also long enough to chill nearly the entire bottle with just a few cubes. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GLPCMMG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_4T40MR34KHPHTT1ZHJ9P?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

7.) Okay ladies, this ones for you. When being in nature for long periods of time, our biggest struggle is often using the bathroom. Squatting can be messy, and port-a-potties (if available) are almost always nauseating and filthy. These devices got me through not only some pretty lengthy and secluded hikes, but also save me from the horrors of public bathrooms, and they’re also very sanitary and easy to clean! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M5964W4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_JGG4V2FAV89KDH9P1T2K?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
